
South Dakota Voices for Children is the only nonprofit, statewide organization that has as its sole purpose improving the lives of all South Dakota children through program and policy advocacy. Voices' focus changes in response to emerging issues that affect the health, education and safety of South Dakota children.
Founded in 1993 by concerned parents, nonprofit executives, business leaders and youth-care professionals, South Dakota Voices for Children conducts research on specific problems facing children and youth, develops solutions and then mobilizes the community to support and implement solutions. Current areas of focus are Children in Poverty, Education and Care, Children's Health, Juvenile Justice and Safety.
